Inspiring Imaging Company, Pop-Bio, celebrate their first anniversary at Milton Hall
The sun was shining in the Milton Hall gardens to celebrate Pop-Bio’s first anniversary with us here and Tanya was delighted to present a bottle of champagne to Paul Ellwood and Michele Meakin.
Pop-Bio Imaging, a division of the Pop-Bio Group, is growing into one of the leading imaging companies in the life science market with its new and exciting technology. An innovative imaging platform changes the way images of gels and blots are captured. This results in smaller, high sensitivity imaging systems which are simple to use and produce superb image quality. The innovative Vü imaging systems utilise the latest CMOS technology which replaces the older traditional CCD methods for gel documentation.
Customers include hospitals, universities and research institutes working in the field of life sciences who are looking at DNA gels, protein gels and western blots. Pop-Bio imaging systems are now sold around the world through an extensive network of over 40 trained distributors.
Current new developments include a novel imaging device to rapidly detect victims of stroke and heart attacks which will eventually be found in all ambulances. Future growth using the new CMOS platform is expected as the company expands into other imaging applications.
Paul, CEO commented: “We are delighted to be celebrating our first anniversary here – Milton Hall provides us with the perfect working environment for our innovative company and we look forward to many more successful years here.”
