Feeding children is hard work – full stop. But planning healthy meals, shopping for ingredients, cooking during the mad after school rush, AND trying to get kids to eat properly, would cause anyone to break out in a cold sweat.
So, Cambridgeshire residents Philippa and Simon Guest stepped up to the plate and created Little Cook Box. And now they are celebrating the launch of their nationwide meal kit subscription box service, that has a choice of 12 launch meal kits, aimed at 5 to 11-year olds.
Milton Hall residents Wonderstruck helped with the innovation, brand design, packaging and marketing of the new product.
Wonderstruck tackled the challenging brief and then had the lightbulb moment of a bespoke, compartmentalised tray for each meal. It not only made it super simple for consumers but delivered massive ef ciencies and a cost saving at production.
The logistics model, supply chain con guration, sourcing and costing of all ingredients and packaging including market opportunity, target demographics and propensity to purchase insight, were delivered by Wonderstruck prior to the creative work.
Little Cook Box’s nutritional experts, together with specially chosen producers and suppliers help to remove all the guesswork and confusion about what’s best to feed our children. Every Little Cook Box is grounded in encouraging children to participate in the preparation and cooking of healthy food; increasing the chances of them trying new avours, textures and widening their food horizons.
There are great plans ahead too - Simon went on to say that “our already engaged social media following has been fantastic in suggesting new product lines for Little Cook Box. We absolutely intend to listen to our customers and use their feedback to develop our product range and grow the business accordingly.”
